Why she is cool: As the Danish Minister for the Climate and Energy since November 2007, Connie Hedegaard will play an important role in trying to secure a new climate deal to replace the existing Kyoto Protocol. Ms Hedegaard is the President of COP 15, the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen in December 2009, on behalf of the host nation.
Cool facts: Connie Hedegaard, a former radio anchorwoman and senior radio official, was the Danish Environment Minister from 2004 to 2007 and since then a Minister for the Climate and Energy
