EU Sustainable Energy Week
Tuesday, 03 February 2009 00:00
Europe is banding together for the European Sustainable Energy Week 2009 from 9-13 February. The EUSEW 2009 will see 150 organizers bring together conferences and fora in Brussels and across 20 other European Member States. Working towards a common goal will be the focus, and mayors from over 300 European cities will set the bar higher by making a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions beyond the EU target of 20% by 2020.
Called the Covenant of Mayors, the agreement creates a network to exchange and apply good practices between cities, reinforcing the common goal approach. Click here to see two mayors and the general public already working together and showing that every little bit helps – and that everyone should get involved!
For more information about the conference, visit the EUSEW website or even get to the conference from the comfort of your own home using this link.
