Play for the climate with MTV and the European Commission
Friday, 17 July 2009 07:01
In connection with the
new climate awareness-raising campaign “Play to stop – Europe for
Climate” by the European Commission and MTV Networks
International, young people in Europe are
invited to participate in an online competition. The competition involves
gaining as many points as possible by showing an interest in climate change
issues.
The winner of the competition will receive a free trip to Stockholm to see Moby at a concert on 20 August, arranged as a part of the campaign.
To participate in the competition you need to register at the “Play to Stop – Europe for Climate” website. Points are gained by showing interest in the fight against climate change. This can be done by inviting friends and by posting your views on climate change and the environment on the website.
Another way to gain points is to participate in the weekly quiz where the questions will be related to information in a video on climate change shown on their site.
The competition is open to participants from the following countries: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Go to
the competition website: www.mtvplay4climate.eu. A video about the competition can be found here.
