bigmamma is an innovative and interactive internet platform for passionate and entrepreneurial-minded young people in the field of sustainability, climate and environment. The project aims to address two main goals:
1) To establish an overview of young people’s initiatives in the field of sustainability
2) To increase visibility of these initiatives internationally in political processes, and among the general public and other relevant stakeholders.
bigmamma will provide a structured and accessible overview of initiatives by and for youth in the area of sustainability, climate and environment. This will, on the one hand, increase the impact of these initiatives (and ideas) of young people worldwide, and on the other hand, it will make these initiatives more visible for international politicians and show them what young people are already doing for a more sustainable world.
At the centre of the project is an international internet platform; one can find from the interactive website the main activities, organisations, projects, events and ideas that have come out of the global youth movement. Through its worldwide activities bigmamma aims to facilitate effective use of the enormous potential of the youth.
The project originated from the global youth movement and is further developed in consultation with young people and youth organizations from more than 100 countries. bigmamma ambassadors are active in different regions and in different areas of expertise.
