The Stupid Show

After an enormous global premiere during the Climate Summit in New York
in September, and several screenings and reviews after, the producers behind
the movie Age Of Stupid continue their mission to raise awareness on climate
change . Director Franny Armstrong and her team is now planning their follow-up
production.
On the Age Of Stupid website, The Stupid Team has laid out their proposal for a live web TV show, named The Stupid Show, to be produced live from the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen. Their mission is to make "the most important meeting in human history" comprehensible for ordinary people.
The format will be based on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show, only “much sillier and more interactive”, says the proposal. Armstrong, also founder of the 10:10 campaign, will host the show together with the lead singer of Cat Empire who will interpret every day’s event in musical form.
The show will be free to watch on the internet anywhere in the world via oneclimate’s Copenhagen 24/7 webcast, YouTube, The Guardian, the Age Of Stupid website, as well as through their NGO partners.
There is one problem, however: The amount needed for the production is £60,000. So far, barely £1000 has been raised.
But this does not seem to bother the producers. People can follow the donations online, and there are many ways to contribute – also without money (however, oil companies do not need to apply). The Stupid Team’s so-called “wedding list” is calling for creative contributions. By donating £10 you will cover their costs for gloves, hats and mittens, internet upgrades or their phone bills. Other wishes on the list are the cost for six beds in a shared house for the whole team, toast, tea & pizza, ferry from London, etc. And by buying any item, your name will be shown among the credits at the end of each show.
Check out their donation list and read more about the project here.
