BB2B - from Big Ben to Brussels
Thursday, 26 November 2009 00:00

The British born Roz Savage who is an ocean rower and an environmentalist, on Friday 20 November set off to walk 200 miles from Big Ben in London to Brussels with four friends.
The aim of the walk is to send at message to COP15, expressing the desire for action on climate change. During the walk, Roz Savage and her friends, Jane Hornsby, Alison Garnnett, Nora McDevitt and Laura Hazell will gather signatures on inflatable “earth” balls, which will be delivered at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference as a petition calling on delegates to take decisive action on climate change.
In Brussels she will join the United Nations Climate Express for the rest of the journey to Copenhagen.
If we all pull together, we CAN save the world!
Roz and her friends encourage everybody to join them – for an hour, for half a day, for a whole day or even for the entire trip. For further information on the route and updates visit her website on http://rozsavage.com/.
If you cannot join Roz and her friends physically, you can support her online by going for a walk wherever you are; by signing up for the environmental mission, Pull Together; by walking more and driving less; and by matching the 10,000 oar strokes Roz does every day on the ocean by walking 10,000 steps a day and sharing your result online.
