tcktcktck logo - time for climate justice“The ‘tck tck tck’ campaign is a call to action - a rallying cry for everyone to get involved. We want people to feel a sense of ownership - it’s a movement in which everyone has a chance to get involved.”

The ‘tck tck tck’ campaign, run by the Global Humanitarian Forum, aims to organize mass public support for a successful outcome at the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 15) in Copenhagen, December 2009. The climate crisis is reaching its peak. Our actions will determine the future of our planet, and therefore, the ‘tck tck tck’ campaign is urging everyone to join the movement to prevent catastrophic impacts from global warming.

The Global Humanitarian Forum is an international organization, founded in 2007 and led by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. It is working to build a stronger global community for overcoming humanitarian challenges. The human impact of climate change is the Forum’s first programme focus and it works to increase awareness on the human face of climate change, and to boost support to vulnerable populations worst affected by climate change.

The new ‘tck tck tck’ campaign is supported by a number of organizations and networks, including the Global Campaign for Climate Action (GCCA). GCCA is an initiative, which aims to mobilize the civil society in support of rapid action to save the planet from dangerous effects caused by climate change. The GCCA includes a large number of organizations, such as Oxfam International, Greenpeace International, Christian Aid, Union of Concerned Scientist, WWF, Global Humanitarian Forum, and other leading NGO’s in over thirty different countries. These organizations believe that NGOs must continue to play a major role in demanding a comprehensive, ambitious and binding agreement at the Copenhagen Summit.

Check for updates at www.tcktcktck.org and get involved in the campaign. The ‘tck tck tck’ campaign encourages people to be creative and interpret the ‘tck tck tck’ mark (soon available from the website) in their own style. Type it, write it, spray it, sketch it – tck tck tck is movement everyone should feel passionate about joining!
