G20 leaders urged to reach a climate deal

The Copenhagen Climate Council, an alliance of international businesses and science have published an open letter to the G20 leaders currently meeting at a summit in London, where the say that without an effective new global climate treaty we jeopardize our common future.
The open letter is published as a full page advertisement in leading newspapers such as the International Herald Tribune.
In iit the G20 Heads of states are urged to reach an agreement on the principle that investment in low emissions technology and infrastracture must be integral to government recovery packages.
The Copenhagen Climate Council is a global collaboration between international business and science founded by the leading independent think tank in Scandinavia, Monday Morning, based in Copenhagen.
Among the signatories are the CEOs of such international companies as PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Intel, Grunfos, Novo Nordisk, Vestas, Asahi Shinbun newspaper and the China Power International development as well as leading scientists.
Int the letter they ask the G20 heads of state to reach a global climate treaty at the Copenhagen summit in December, saying it requires the intervention, the involvement and leadership of the G20 Heads of State.
