Hedegaard: Half an agreement is no agreement

"We are still aiming for a full package," the Danish minister for climate and energy said after two days of climate talks in Copenhagen, which ended on a positive note and with hopes of an ambitious political deal at the UN climate conference in the Danish capital in December.
Ministers from more than 40 countries ended a final two-day round of preliminary climate talks in Copenhagen on a positive note – but also realizing that a lot of work remains to be done before a comprehensive political climate deal can be struck in the Danish capital next month.
"There has been a very encouraging spirit. I have heard from everyone around the table today that Copenhagen must be a success. But half an agreement is no agreement. So we are still aiming for a full package delivering on all building blocks in accordance with the Bali action plan," Connie Hedegaard, Denmark’s minister for climate and energy and incoming host of the UN climate conference COP15, said Tuesday.(Source: www.cop15.dk)
