High-Level Conference on Climate Change and Technology

A conference in Bergen, Norway organized by the Norwegian government on Climate change and technology. 15-20 ministers from as many countries will attend.

- Excursion for VIPs to the CCS facility “Sleipner” in the North Sea
- High-level opening session with leadership dialogue hosted by Prime Minister Stoltenberg
- Concert organized by Bergen International Festival
- Expert / minister conference on carbon capture and storage
- Side event: International Energy Agency Global Peer Review. Report to G8.

 Jens Stoltenberg, Norway´s Prime Minister writes:

"The aim of the conference is to provide an arena for high-level policymakers, experts, business executives and NGOs.  We invite you to a discussion on experiences and prospects for carbon capture and storage."

 We need to take action now, and carbon capture and storage can be one of the building blocks of a viable solution."
