International Conference on Handling Global Challenges, Managing Biosafety and Biodiversity in a Global World. EU, US, California and Comparative Perspectives

The conference will explore and discuss transatlantic regulatory approaches to handle global challenges with a specific focus on biodiversity and biosafety. It will also discuss general approaches to transatlantic regulatory co-operation and specific issues with regard to managing biodiversity and biosafety. The conference will bring together academics, policy-makers, policy-analysts and stakeholders. The key-note speech is given by Dr. Jos Delbeke, Deputy Director General of DG Environment of the European Commission on ‘European Union in Global Environmental Governance’
