Eco Ironman

I'm going to be taking on the Challenge Barcelona ironman distance triathlon in an attempt to become the world's first 'Eco Ironman', and I'll wear the 'seal the deal' logos on my kit.  I've got a bike made of bamboo, shoes made with no chemical solvents, and I'm training entirely outdoors, despite living in the centre of London.  I'm also travelling to Barcelona by train, thanks to Eurostar, and will be training on an entirely vegetarian diet, boosted by vegetarian/organic/fairtrade sports nutrition products.  I'm trying to show how possible it is to build appreciation time for the natural world into our day-to-day lives, and I'll be raising money for the Wilderness Foundation along the way.  Follow me at www.ecoironman.blogspot.com, or @ecoironman on twitter.
