One Giant Leap

In three Finnish cities, freerunners will be joining thousands of others around the globe to take part in a world record breaking international parkhour jam in aid of UK NGO Sandbag’s One Giant leap climate change campaign.  Events are taking place in 75 cities in 32 countries around the world. To find out more visit http://sandbag.org.uk/campaigns/copenhagen

The Sandbag campaign is seeking a global agreement at Copenhagen for cutting emissions in the power sector.  The power sector is the biggest, easiest and the most important of all carbon emitting sectors to address and it really can tackle climate change in One Giant Leap. Only 3,300 power stations around the world account for nearly a quarter of all emissions!   We’re asking individuals worldwide to call on global climate leaders to JUMP start a climate deal, DROP global power emissions by 10% by 2020 and ROLL out clean electricity everywhere.   Please sign the online petition at http://sandbag.org.uk/campaigns/copenhagen or attend the event.
