World Bank

The World Bank works in the climate area to finance investments that can help developing countries in eventually achieving a sustainable economy and strategy for climate change. 

The Multilateral Development Banks, the African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Inter-American Development Bank Group have developed Climate Investment Funds (CIF) as a temporary measure of the assistance given to developing countries and to strengthen the knowledge base in the development community.
